Welcome to the new website for the Education Undergraduate Society of McGill!
The Education Undergraduate Society is the voice of, and a forum for all undergraduate members in McGill University’s Faculty of Education. It is strongly encouraged that all students speak up and make their opinions heard – be it through e-mail, phone, in-person or any other way you can think up! EdUS places a supreme value on professional development. Our Career Fair, for example, lets students meet face-to-face with an international assortment of future employers. This method of networking has already led to numerous job placements across the country and abroad, and is sure to result in more success stories with every passing year.
At EdUS we also pride ourselves on our commitment to enjoying our time, and helping you enjoy yours, at McGill; providing our students with regularly occurring lunches, shindigs, get-togethers, jamborees, and holiday and non-holiday themed events. Our annual Graduation Ball is a celebration of everything each student has achieved in the successful completion of his or her degree, including resilience in the face of the steep climb up McTavish Street.
You can visit us in room B179 (in the basement of the Education Building).
-----
Meetings
EdUS holds regular meetings, typically on a semi-monthly basis (i.e. occurring twice a month). Attendance is open to all members of the faculty; however it is asked that students who want to attend inform EdUS by e-mail ([email protected]) at least three (3) days in advance, due to space and time constrictions.
If you want to check in on us, but don't want to sit through a long meeting (can't blame you!) please feel free to head on over to the Council page to view or download the agendas and minutes of our meetings.
-----
Positions with EdUS are voluntarily filled by students from the Faculty of Education.
